Mission Statement:
The sole purpose of this contest is to promote mecha design and development. To gain valuable experiences in mecha construction and allow mecha designers share new ideas and design concepts through controlled combat events.
Contest Format:
Here's how the contest is resolved:
- Each contestant shall produce a set of concept design illustrations to enter the tournament.
- For each monthly tournament, 16 entries will be accepted.
- The qualification of an entry is based on the receiving date of the design illustrations. As soon as 16 entries are received, the arena battles will begin and no more entry will be accepted until the next tournament.
- There will be a submission deadline date for each tournament. However, it is only to be used as general guide - the match will not start until 16 entries are received.
- After receiving the design schematics, the construction of the mecha will be carried out by MMFT sponsors' expert construction team.
- Qualified entries will be randomly paired off to face combat.
- For each pairing, viewers and spectators will vote to determine which mecha is more favourable in a combat situation. The winning design will proceed to the next round.
- In case of equal number of votes for each design, the MMFT administrators shall vote to produce a winner.
- The match will be in Knock Out format: If a design loses a match, the contestant will be out of the tournament.
- A prize will be awarded to the designer of the final round winner. The prize varies from each tournament. (subject to prize availability)
