Kerkythea + Sketchup = teh win!

I'm really excited about a piece of software I discovered yesterday called Kerkythea. As most of you are already aware, I use Sketchup to model my mecha in 3D and anyone that has tried Sketchup before know that it is very limited in rendering options...

Kerkythea rendering system changes all that! within 5 mins of downloading Kerkythea (or KT for short) from www.kerkythea.net/ I had imported one of my Sketchup mecha and given it a realistic metallic finish. It seems very easy to use although I obviously have a lot to learn, but im very excited at the potential of adding light sources and materials to my designs and *hopefully* giving them a near photo finish!

Kerkythea is free from www.kerkythea.net/

Sketchup is free from www.sketchup.com

So for the huge cost of absolutely nothing you can access easy to use 3D modeling and rendering software, you have no excuses everyone! I hope to see many more mecha appearing in the forum!

I'm new to Kerkythea but a regular user of Sketchup, if you have trouble with either of them give me a shout and I'll do my best to help.

As soon as I finish my most recent mecha (huge tank mech!) you can expect it to be rendered in Kerkythea!

Sketchup  is a really great program! It would be better if there was a way to rig models in sketchup so you could do proper animations...
